The Dublin Fighting Irish enter the Finals following a close 55-45 road win over Thomasville in the semis, making the team now 13-1 overall in 2019. In the playoff, the Irish have scored an average of 41.75 ppg on offense and allowed 23 ppg on defense. This upcoming Friday afternoon at 1pm, the Fighting Irish will be taking on the Brooks Co Trojans in the GHSA AA State Finals at Georgia-State Stadium.
This matchup marks the second time this season these teams have played one another. Their last faceoff on September 20th ended with Dublin defeating Brooks Co 49-35. Brooks Co may have a worse record of 10-4, but they remain a capable team that has defeated several strong AA competitors this season. Brooks will be looking to earn some redemption this Friday, but Dublin will also be fighting hard to secure their fifth state title. This is the first time since 2006 that the Irish have made it to the Finals. 2006 was also the last year they won. This should make for one hell of a contest and will definitely be worth showing up for.

1st Round defeated Early Co 32-9
2nd Round defeated Bremen 45-26
Quarterfinals defeated Hapeville Charter 35-12
Semifinals defeated Thomasville 55-45.
