The Warner Robins Demons come into the Finals following last week’s 55-3 home win over Starr’s Mill in the semis. This upcoming Friday afternoon at 4:30pm, the Demons will be taking on the Buford Wolves in the GHSA AAAAA State Finals at Georgia-State Stadium (formerly Turner Field). If the Demons defeat Buford, they will win their 5th state-title in school history. This is Warner Robins’ third consecutive Finals appearance, and they’re looking to win it all this time in 2019.
Rundown of Warner Robins’ journey to the Finals:
1st Round defeated Jonesboro 28-7
2nd Round defeated Rome 25-17
Quarterfinals defeated Clarke Central 49-14,
Semifinals defeated Starr’s Mill 55-3.
The Crisp Co Cougars are coming off a 14-6 victory over Jenkins in the Semifinals and are currently 11-3 overall in 2019. This season, the Cougars have scored an average of 30.75 points per game on offense and only allowed 7.25 ppg on D. This upcoming Saturday afternoon at 1pm, the Cougars will be taking on the Cedar Grove Saints in the GHSA AAA State Finals at Georgia-State Stadium.
This is the Cougars’ first Finals appearance in school history. They have a shot at winning their first-ever state title in 2019, but it will be difficult as they are taking on the defending GHSA AAA State Champs. Crisp Co will have to play lights out in order to have a chance at defeating Cedar Grove.
Rundown of Crisp County’s journey to the Finals:
1st Round defeated Southeast Bulloch 46-0
2nd Round defeated North Hall 41-3
Quarterfinals defeated Jefferson 22-20
Semifinals defeated Jenkins 14-6.
The Dublin Fighting Irish enter the Finals following a close 55-45 road win over Thomasville in the semis, making the team now 13-1 overall in 2019. In the playoff, the Irish have scored an average of 41.75 ppg on offense and allowed 23 ppg on defense. This upcoming Friday afternoon at 1pm, the Fighting Irish will be taking on the Brooks Co Trojans in the GHSA AA State Finals at Georgia-State Stadium.
This matchup marks the second time this season these teams have played one another. Their last faceoff on September 20th ended with Dublin defeating Brooks Co 49-35. Brooks Co may have a worse record of 10-4, but they remain a capable team that has defeated several strong AA competitors this season. Brooks will be looking to earn some redemption this Friday, but Dublin will also be fighting hard to secure their fifth state title. This is the first time since 2006 that the Irish have made it to the Finals. 2006 was also the last year they won. This should make for one hell of a contest and will definitely be worth showing up for.

1st Round defeated Early Co 32-9
2nd Round defeated Bremen 45-26
Quarterfinals defeated Hapeville Charter 35-12
Semifinals defeated Thomasville 55-45.
